Faith, Ethics, and Practical Life: The Integration of Divine Guidance in Human Civilization

Abstract

The mission of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) represents the most profound transformation in human history—not only spiritually but also ethically and socially. Unlike other religious or political reformers, the Prophet (SAW) successfully integrated faith (Iman), ethics (Akhlaq), and practical life (Muamalaat) into a living system. THE INTERPLAY OF NAFS AND SHAYTAN: A QURANIC ANALYSIS OF HUMAN WEAKNESS AND DIVINE RESILIENCE

By Sardar Mohammad | May 08, 2025

Abstract

This paper examines the dynamic interaction between the Nafs (inner self) and Shaytan (Satan) as portrayed in the Quran, focusing on their roles in human spiritual weakness and divine resilience. The Nafs is identified as the internal source of desire and complacency, while Shaytan acts as an external deceiver who amplifies temptation through rationalization and distraction. Through Quranic textual analysis and theological insights, this study highlights how these forces interplay to test human free will and accountability. The paper concludes that despite the powerful pull of sin, humans retain the capacity to resist through self-purification and seeking divine protection.

This paper aims to analyze their interplay as a framework
